Tour Itinerary

  1. Day 01 : Chennai (arrival)

    On your arrival in Chennai, India you will be received by our representative who will assist you to your hotel and will also brief you about your tour. After handing over all the relevant documents and details of your tour, our assistant will leave you for a comfortable overnight stay in hotel.

  2. Day 02 : Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram

    After breakfasts enjoy sightseeing tour of Chennai, the major tourist attraction to visit includes St. George, Kapaleeshwarar Temple and National Art Gallery. Later proceed to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram. The Kanchipuram is famous for its rich historical, religious and cultural background and has many sculpted temple. After visiting Kanchipuram continue drive to Mahabalipuram on arrival check in to the hotel and overnight will remain schedule in the hotel.

  3. Day 03 : Mahabalipuram

    Today, after breakfast start your day to visit Shore Temple and many other temples in the same complex that are dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Classified as UNESCO world Heritage site, these rock rock-cut monuments are the best examples of early Dravidian architecture. In the evening visit the beach and take a short walk into local market. Later, return to hotel for overnight stay.

  4. Day 04 : Pondicherry

    After breakfast depart to Pondicherry, on arrival check-in into the hotel. After some relax get ready to visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville which was founded by Sri Aurbindo in 1926 and it is famous among spiritually headed people. At evening visit Pondicherry Museum, Church of the sacred heart of Jesus. Later return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

  5. Day 05 : Thanjavur

    Post breakfast departs to Thanjavur; the city is famous for its temple. On arrival, check in to the hotel and after taking a short break visit Brihadeshwara Temple which is famous for its sculpted granite rocks and glorious Dravidian architecture. Later in the day visit Thanjavur Royal Palace and the Nandi Bull. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  6. Day 06 : Trichy – Madurai

    After breakfast, depart for your next destination i.e. Madurai on the way visit Trichy. On arrival at Trichy visit India’s largest functioning temple Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple and Rock Fort Temple which is the most prominent landmark of city, situated on the bank of the Cauvery River, the temple offers a spectacular panoramic view of the city and the Ranganathaswamy Temple. Later continues drive to Madurai on arrival check in to the hotel and stay overnight.

  7. Day 07 : Madurai

    Post breakfast visit Madurai city said to be 2500 years old and also known as Athens of East. Explore the marvelous temples and other attractions of this city. The famous places you will visit here include Meenakshi Amman temple. Gandhi Museum and Thirumalai Nayak’s Palace, stay overnight at the hotel in Madurai.

  8. Day 08 : Thekkady

    After breakfast, depart for your next destination, i.e. Thekkady, which is located on the river side of Periyar. On arrival check in to the hotel after freshens up get ready to visit spice plantation of Thekkady. With cardamom, pepper, rubber, turmeric, vanilla, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, curry leaves, coffee etc; wander amidst of green farms to experience the real taste and smell of these spices. Evenings are kept free to enjoy the place at your own leisure and overnight stay will remain scheduled in the hotel.

  9. Day 09 : Thekkady - Kumarakom

    Early morning before breakfast; leave for a wildlife viewing to the sanctuary on Lake Periyar by boat cruise. Later return back to the hotel and have breakfast. Afternoon; drive down to Kumarakom. An unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Kumarakom is surely a beautiful small water world, situated on the banks of the Vembanda Lake. On arrival, check in at the backwater side resort and rest of the time leisure at hotel, stay overnight at hotel.

  10. Day 10 : Kumarakom

    Post breakfast; visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary to explore the variety and flocks of many local and migrant birds. Offering a delightful treat to your eyes, this place is a best visited while cruising a boat and is a must visit for those who want to experience the beauty of nature in their beautiful creatures. An overnight stay will be at hotel.

  11. Day 11 : Alleppey

    Today, after breakfast depart for your next destination i.e. Alleppey. Best known for the palm fringed canals, picturesque lakesides and lagoons, the peace and tranquility of this place can be best experienced with an overnight house boat journey. So, on arrival in Alleppey, board a traditional houseboat of Kerala, “Kettuvallam”, to explore and experience the backwater lifestyle of Kerala. Take on overnight stay on the houseboat itself to witness the breathtaking panoramic views of nature’s beauty at its best.

  12. Day 12 : Cochin

    Post breakfast leave for Cochin and on arrival check in to the hotel. Here, after taking a short break, begin your tour to Cochin. Starting with the India’s oldest Synagogue, we will further take a tour to the Dutch Palace and the oldest European Church in India – the St. Francis Church where Vasco De Gama was originally buried. Later in the evening, take a leisure walk through the Fort Cochin area to witness the vivacious European architecture and the vast and giant fixed Chinese fishing nets which are still being used for fishing purpose in the coastline line. After taking up a chaotic tour of the city, take an overnight stay in the hotel.

  13. Day 13 : Cochin

    This morning after breakfast, visit Marine Drive and Fort Cochin area to witness the vivacious European architecture. Late in the day visit Hill Palace, Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica and the Pallipuram Fort built by the Portuguese in 1503 and is the oldest existing European fort in India. in the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  14. Day 14 : Cochin - Departure

    Post breakfast you can spend your free time at your own and meanwhile we ensure your safe and happy transfer to Cochin Airport for your onwards journey back to home with illustrious memory of Intense India Tours.
