Upon arrival at Cochin Airport, our Intense India Tours representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. After freshening up, take a short walk to the local market, then return to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast, join a sightseeing tour of Cochin, visiting India’s oldest Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, and St. Francis Church, where Vasco de Gama was originally buried. In the evening, walk through Fort Cochin to see the European architecture and Chinese fishing nets. Enjoy a Kathakali Dance performance before returning to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast, drive to Thodupuzha and check in at Dewalokam Home Stay, a peaceful retreat. Enjoy a guided tour of the organic spice farm or cycle through village roads. Available activities include bamboo rafting, forest and village walks, a visit to a local school, a cooking demonstration, rubber processing, and cow milking. Spend your evening at leisure and stay overnight at Dewalokam.
After breakfast, head to Munnar, once the summer resort of the British Government in South India, famous for tea plantation-covered hills. Misty roads, cloudy skies, and scenic views will accompany your ride. On arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.
After breakfast, begin your Munnar sightseeing tour with a visit to the Tea Museum to learn about India’s favourite brew. Continue to Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundale Lake. In the afternoon, visit Eravikulam National Park, home to the Nilgiri Tahr and Neelakurinji flowers, which bloom every 12 years. Return to the hotel for the night.
After breakfast, depart for Thekkady, set on the banks of the Periyar River. On arrival, check in to your hotel, freshen up, and enjoy wildlife viewing at the Periyar sanctuary during a boat cruise. In the evening, tour a spice plantation to experience the aroma and taste of local spices. Return to your hotel to relax and spend the night.
After breakfast, drive down to Kuttanad, also known as the rice bowl of India. With many paddies offering magnificent views of the place. On arrival, check in to the hotel; later, explore the green paddy fields of Kuttanad and cycle to nearby backwater villages. In the evening, you can see a paddy plantation in a rice field, and stay overnight in a resort.
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey, known for palm-fringed canals and tranquil lakesides. Experience the backwaters on a traditional Kerala houseboat and spend the night on board, enjoying panoramic natural views.
After breakfast, transfer to Cochin Airport for your flight home, leaving you with wonderful memories of your tour of India.
