DAY 01 | ARRIVAL GUWAHATI

Arrive at Guwahati Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed and taken to your comfortable hotel. After you have settled in, explore the famous Kamakhya Temple, a holy place dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya and one of the oldest Shakti Pithas, richin stories and spiritual power.
In the afternoon, take a relaxing cruise along the beautiful Brahmaputra River, enjoying the lively riverside scenes. In the evening, stroll through busy local markets like Pan Bazaar, Paltan Bazaar, Fancy Bazaar, and Uzan Bazaar, where you can find fragrant tea leaves, beautiful handmade crafts, shining Assam Silk, soothing Singing Bowls, and special Assamese jewellery. Then return to your hotel for a peaceful night’s rest.

DAY 2 | GUWAHATI – SHILLONG(Approx. 100 Kms./3 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Shillong. On the way, stop at Umiam Lake to enjoy tasty momos while admiring the beautiful lake views. When you arrive, check into the hotel. Once you’ve freshened up, go on a local sightseeing tour of Shillong, visiting Don Bosco Museum, Lady Hydari Park, and Ward’s Lake. In the evening, visit the popular Police Bazar market in Shillong, known for its unique traditional crafts, beautiful Meghalaya products, local clothing, costume jewellery, and more. Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 | SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJI

After breakfast, start your journey to Cherrapunji, the place with the most rainfall in the world. On the way, stop at Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. When you reach Cherrapunji, visit Noh-ka-Likai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Don Bosco Shrine, Wah Kaba Falls, Kynrem Falls, Arwah Cave, and other nearby caves.

DAY 4 | CHERRAPUNJI – MAWLYNNONG – SHILLONG

After breakfast, go on a day trip to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. Visit the Jingmaham Living Root Bridge there. Then, travel to Dawki, a small border town in the Jaintia Hills, known for the beautiful Umngot River. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride.After that, leave for Shillong. On arrival, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay

DAY 5 | SHILLONG – KAZIRANGA ( Approx. 275 KMS./6 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and go sightseeing in Shillong to see the city’s popular spots. Then, head to Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park is one of the most popular places in Assam, known for the one-horned rhinoceros. It is also home to many wild animals like tigers, wild buffalo, gaur, leopards, stags, deer, hogs, and wild boars, as well as many beautiful migratory birds.
On arrival, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 6 | IN KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning, go on an elephant safari (5:30 AM to 6:30 AM) in the western part of the park. Enjoy the birdsong and the fresh scent of wildflowers, making the experience even more magical. The main animals you can see here include the one-horned rhinoceros, tiger, wild buffalo, elephant, various deer, python, and many migratory birds. Return for some refreshments.
After breakfast, visit a nearby local village to see how people live and work, then explore the Tea Garden and the Orchid Sanctuary. Some well-known Tea Gardens are Methoni, Hathkhuli, Difalu, Borchapori, and Behora.
After lunch, head back to the park for another wildlife safari by jeep. The evening is free to relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 7 | KAZIRANGA – NIMATI GHAT – FERRY - MAJULI

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Nimati Ghat to catch a ferry to Majuli, the world’s largest river island and home to Vaishnavite monasteries. You will cross the Brahmaputra River by ferry to get there. Once on the island, enjoy the natural surroundings and take a relaxing walk. Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 8 | MAJULI – JORHAT( Approx. 25 KMS./ 1 ½ Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, visit Kamalabari Satra and Auniati Satra, major centres of Vaishnavite culture. Visits to these places would be conducted in the morning.
Here you can enjoy the natural beauty and explore the area. Discover the secrets of Majuli and learn about the old art of mask-making used in the “Bhaona” play, which tells stories from Hindu mythology. Spend the rest of the day with local people, learning about their traditional arts and crafts.
In the afternoon, leave Majuli for Jorhat, and stay overnight at a pre-booked hotel.

DAY 9 | JORHAT – KOHIMA

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel to Kohima. When you arrive, check into the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax. Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 10 | KOHIMA – KHONOMA – KOHIMA( Approx. 300 KMS./8 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, drive to Khonoma, known for its history of warfare. Surrounded by green hills, the village is famous for its community efforts and was named the country’s first green village.

DAY 11 | KOHIMA

After breakfast, go on a local sightseeing tour of Kohima, visiting popular places like Kohima Museum, the Cathedral Church, and Kohima War Cemetery. The cemetery was made to remember soldiers who died during the Second World War. It was built by the Japanese forces who had invaded the area.
The evening is free for shopping in the local market. The main things to look for are woven bamboo, tribal shawls, jewellery, beadwork, and trendy clothes. Handwoven items are also popular in the marketsof Kohima.

DAY 12 | KOHIMA – DIMAPUR( Approx. 75 KMS / 3 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for Dimapur Airport to board a flight back to home with illustrious memory of North East Tour
