Post-breakfast, depart for Ooty, a hill station in the majestic Nilgiri Hills, a favourite destination among couples. You will visit the Botanical Garden and then enjoy a boat ride on Ooty Lake. Afterwards, visit Doddabetta Peak and then return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today, after breakfast, drive to Coonoor, a Hill station dense with tea plantations. On arrival in Coonoor, enjoy a Toy Train Ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, a World Heritage Site. It passes through many tunnels and over a hundred bridges. The train ride is particularly picturesque because of the surrounding rocky terrain, ravines and thickly forested hills. After getting a unique experience on a train ride in the evening, take a short walk through the local market and stay overnight in a hotel.
After breakfast, leave for Kodaikanal. The journey between Ooty and Kodaikanal takes about 6.5 hours. On arrival in Kodaikanal, check in to the hotel and rest. Afterwards, you can explore the beauty of Kodaikanal. The place is famous for its simmering lakes, lush green valleys, and exotic waterfalls. Stay overnight in the Kodaikanal hotel.
Post breakfast, get ready to enjoy Coaker’s Walk, a platform on the mountain that offers great scenery on a Sunny Day. You can see the Vaigai Dam and many other places from this spot. Later, visit Poombarai Village, then proceed to Mannavanur Lake. Afterwards, return to the hotel and spend the night.
Start your day with breakfast, then depart for Munnar. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in Kerala. The place is best known for its picturesque tea-covered hills. The misty roads, cloudy skies, and amazing views accompany your ride. On your arrival, check into the hotel. After freshening up, spend the day at your leisure and stay overnight.
After a delicious breakfast, get ready for a sightseeing tour of Munnar. The first stop is the Tea Museum, where you will learn about the processing of the favourite brew of India. Later, explore the beauty of Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point and Kundale Lake. Afternoon visit Eravikulam National Park, famous for its Nilgiri Tahr and Neelakurinji flowers, which bloom once every 12 years. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Note: Eravikulam N.P. remains closed during Feb – Apr due to the Nilgiri Ibex’s calving period.
After breakfast, depart for your next destination, i.e., Thekkady, located on the banks of the river. On arrival at the nature-blessed town, check in to the hotel after freshening up, and get ready for wildlife viewing at the sanctuary on Lake Periyar by boat cruise. Later in the evening, you will be taken on a guided tour of the spice plantation, wandering through the green farms to experience the real taste and aroma of these spices. Return to the hotel, with the evening free for your leisure, and overnight stay.
Post-breakfast, depart for your next destination, i.e., Alleppey. The backwater cruise at Alleppey could be the most unforgettable part of your honeymoon tour to Southern India. On your arrival at Alleppey, board a traditional houseboat of Kerala, “Kettuvallam”, to explore and experience the backwater lifestyle of Kerala. Stay overnight on a houseboat, and witness the breathtaking panoramic views of nature’s beauty at its best.
This morning, have breakfast on board, then disembark from the houseboat and proceed to Cochin. On arrival, check in to the hotel. After freshening up, start your day by visiting India’s oldest Synagogue. We will then take a tour of the Dutch Palace and the oldest European Church in India – the St. Francis Church, where Vasco De Gama was originally buried. Later in the evening, take a leisurely walk through the Fort Cochin area to witness the vivacious European architecture. Later return to the hotel and stay overnight.
