Upon arrival at Srinagar airport, you will be greeted by our representative, who will assist with a smooth transfer to your hotel. Settle in and refresh, then use your free time to explore nearby restaurants and markets and interact with locals. Return to the hotel to end your first day and rest for the night.
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour in Srinagar. Visit Shankaracharya Temple, perched about 1,000 feet above sea level on Takht-e-Suleiman hill, and admire the panoramic valley views from the top. Continue to visit the Mughal Gardens—Shalimar, Chashmeshahi, and Nishat—situated around Dal Lake, known for terraced lawns, streams, and fountains. Conclude your explorations in the evening by returning to your hotel to rest and stay overnight.
Early morning, after breakfast, depart for Sonamarg. As you drive along the Ladakh-Srinagar Road, gain elevation to 2730m, and observe how the surroundings change. Upon arrival in Sonamarg, called the meadow of gold, choose to relax for the remainder of the afternoon and evening, ending your travel day with rest at your accommodation.
After breakfast, drive to Nilagard, 6 km from Sonamarg, to visit the mountain river and its confluence with the Indus, renowned for its reddish, healing waters. Proceed to Bisansar Lake at 4084m, then view Krishnasar Lake, both known for natural beauty and trout fishing. After sightseeing, return to your accommodation in Sonamarg for the night to wrap up your day’s activities.
In the morning after breakfast, set out for Gulmarg, the renowned meadow of flowers. Notice the hills carpeted with daisies and bluebells in summer and admire the world’s highest green golf course. Reach Gulmarg by afternoon and spend the rest of your day taking in the views of snow-covered Himalayas, riding the cable car to Gondola, and seeing Nanga Parbat. At the end of the day’s activities, return to your Gulmarg hotel for overnight rest.
The next morning, after breakfast, embark on a pony ride from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg. Take in the flowery grasslands, try adventure sports like skiing and paragliding, and photograph views of Nanga Parbat and the LOC. Experience unique vistas of the Himalayan Range before returning to your hotel in Gulmarg to rest and conclude the day.
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, a spectacular valley graced by the Lidder River, which offers trout-fishing. Journey through pine forests towards Pahalgam, the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra, at over 2400m. Check in upon arrival and unwind. The day’s travel ends with your first night in Pahalgam.
Today, spend your time exploring the grasslands of Baisaran, 5 km from Pahalgam, and enjoy views of the surrounding peaks and pine forests. Baisaran is popular among trekkers heading to Tullan Lake. After a full day of exploration, return to your accommodation in Pahalgam to rest as your day comes to an end.
After breakfast, set out for Patnitop, a picturesque hill station surrounded by pine forests and dense woods. Continue ascending to the plateau at 2024 m, often capped with snow. Explore water springs reputed for their healing qualities and enjoy activities such as trekking and skiing. As evening approaches, unwind during a peaceful walk or picnic before settling into your hotel in Patnitop to end the day.
After breakfast, drive to Sanasar, 17 km from Patnitop, immersed in coniferous forests. Fill your day with adventure activities like golfing, paragliding, camping, and trekking. As the evening arrives, return from Sanasar to your Patnitop hotel to rest, marking the day’s conclusion.
After breakfast, travel from Patnitop to Katra, nestled in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains and renowned for the Mata Vaishno Devi temple. Arrive in Katra and spend the remainder of your day relaxing or preparing for your pilgrimage, officially beginning your stay in this sacred town.
Early in the morning, visit the Vaishno Devi temple, located at 1615 m on Trikuta Mountain. After the 14 km uphill journey, which can be completed on foot or on a pony. After the darshan, return to your Katra hotel on the same day and stay overnight.
After breakfast, transfer to Katra Railway Station or Jammu Airport for your onward journey back home with an illustrious memory of India Tours.
